May 2015 - We welcome our new Youth Worker - Helen Buchanan
Helen currently lives in Paisley but is excited to move to the Helensburgh area in September and to become a part of the community there. Before joining Contraflow Helen was working for the Methodist Church in Clydebank in a Fresh Expressions role to create new forms of Church.
Helen has a number of hobbies and can be found walking on a weekend with hopes to complete the final stage of the Ayrshire Coastal Path this summer. She is a fan of musicals and can often be found singing along in the car or visiting the theatre for amateur or professional performances. However just chilling out with friends over a game of food is where she thrives most.
Helen says....
"Young people today are searching and full of curiosity, they seek answers in many places from alcohol to relationships to sports. I am privileged to be in a role where I am given opportunities to discuss and explore with them the best relationship available, with God. I look forward to continuing existing groups but also exploring and developing new opportunities for sharing the greatest story of all time with as many young people as possible."
